Lanikai Hawaiian-Style Bar

Conversion of an old French restaurant into a laid-back Hawaiian-style dance bar. A large seating table area takes up two-thirds of the bar space, and can be quickly cleared to double as the dance area. An old surfboard makes two custom-made booth-seating tables, and the DJ booth has hints of driftwood washed up on a beach.
Another large surfboard, featuring the bar's name, is backlit in neon on the wall. It combines with the backlit wood blinds and uplighters on the purple ceiling to give a great party atmosphere when required.
The bar area at the other end uses clever lighting to give a 'surf' effect to the front of the bar counter, visible immediately upon entering the bar. Storage space is disguised as a weather-beaten beach-hut, and faded wooden columns house synchronised TV monitors. A vibrant red on the walls gives a slightly different, 'Orange County' feel to the decor.
